In democracies like India and US, the government, the politicians, the religious leaders and caste and colour based formations (colour based formations are true for US to a large extant) must remember that it’s no longer possible to bind people together in a fool’s paradise based on illusionary antics.
Recently formed Governments especially should be careful of “double talks” and the “Soaps” that they offer to the people as "soaps" will only produce froth and bubbles. When people, eventually understand that they just have bubbles in hand, they will hound you to your downfall.
So for Governments which have come with thumping majority (for a genuine or not so genuine reason), the judgement day is near. It’s better not to fall for petty politics. It would rather do them “well” if they can “shake the system” so that whatever they are offering from the “top” actually percolates down and reaches the people who need the support for individual and collective development. Cut the crap as well as the red tape. That should be the Mantra. Let’s say enough with sops and lofty historical speeches.
We are entering an era when people are becoming more and more restless and are questioning their individual identity in a larger system. In such situations people will not tolerate manipulations by the system.
Can’t we look around and see the changes that are already happening?
